About Hope Reis

Hope Reis is a romantic impressionist painter of historic interiors, florals and portraits.

She seeks to combine realism and impressionism in her paintings.  Painting and drawing from life excites her.  She is flexible in her painting environment- she paints from a living set up in her studio, putside or in a beautiful interior.  He captures the effect of the light and feeling.  Working mostly in oils, she travels abroad with watercolors.

Reis concentrates on European Interiors and calls her work timless and historic.  She has been awarded many honors including membership in the Salmagundi Club, NYC, Oil Painters of America, AWA and AIS.
